New ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief’ Trailer

 In  Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi/Fantasy

As we have mentioned here before, there is a new film coming in 2010 from Chris Columbus (the director of such films as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Mrs. Doubtfire, Rent, Home Alone and several others) titled "Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief". The film (which the studio hopes to turn into a franchise) is based on the popular five-book Percy Jackson & The Olympians series.

The movie revolves around a young boy who discovers that he is actually the half human son of the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. The story them follows him as he tries to find his mother and the stolen lightning bolt of the high god Zeus... all while trying to prevent a civil war amongst the gods.

Now, there is a new trailer for the film online which can be seen here:

Question: Is this the new heir to the Harry Potter franchise or just another fantasy film?

This is a horrible adaptation of the book - What a disappointment!!! Plot line is completely distorted, and it is obvious that the people who made this production did not actually read the book. So sad that people think that this movie is what the author actually put on paper. Shame on the producers, writers, and directors!!!!
