Sam Worthington To Star In 'Dracula'?

 With the February 12th release date of the new Benicio Del Toro film "The Wolfman" quickly approaching, it appears that Universal studios has caught an itch for doing the old classic monster movies again.

It is being reported that Universal has tapped "Avatar" and "Terminator: Salvation" star Sam Worthington (who will also star in the upcoming "Clash of the Titans" remake) to lead the cast in the new Dracula film "Dracula: Year Zero".

The project is said to be an origin story and will take place in old Transylvania with Alex Proyas ("I, Robot", "The Crow", "Dark City") set to direct.

The film is being developed for a 2011 release date.  No official word from Universal has yet been given on these reports.
