This year's Comic Con was an especially busy one for us here at AMC. First of all I had the privilidge to host the annual "Masters of the Web" panel (which we'll post up here later today), and then there was our "Dusk 'Til Con" party which was pretty unanimously hailed as the party of the Con.
At that party we presented our first annual "AMC Film Fanatics Awards". The awards are given in recognition of contributions to the film fan community. This year our two recipients couldn't have been more deserving.
STAN LEE is the godfather of the comic book world. Comic Con would simply not exist without the pioneering and amazing work he has done over his long and illustrious career. Not only that, but with tons of Marvel films on the horizon, films fans have a lot to look forward to!
EDGAR WRIGHT is one of the best young writer/directors in Hollywood today. His fantastic films "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" have already won us over, and now this week he releases his newest, and highly anticipated film "Scott Pilgrim vs the World".
AMC V.P. of Marketing, Sun Dee Larson and AMC Script-To-Screen manager John Campea (hey... that's me) presented the award to Edgar at the party (which was a ton of fun by the way) and we present the video of the event here with you now:
