Since filmmaker Michael Bay already said that he would complete his low-budget movie "Pain and Gain" before he went any further with the "Transformers" franchise, the remainder of the lead cast for the picture is filling up. In comes Anthony Mackie ("The Hurt Locker," "Real Steel") who's in the middle of talks to join the cast that includes Mark Wahlberg ("The Fighter"), Dwayne Johnson ("Fast Five"), Ed Harris ("Man on a Ledge") and Rob Corddry ("Hot Tub Time Machine").
If cast, he'll be taking on the role of Adrian Doorbal, a big-hearted bodybuilder who works out with Daniel Lugo (Wahlberg). Doorbal has little to show for his hard work, leading him to get involved with Lugo's scheme. The story is based off a true tale published in the Miami New Times where a group of bodybuilders take part in a slew of kidnapping, extortion and several killings within Florida.
Principal photography for "Pain and Gain" will begin sometime early this spring. Producing the film is Michael Bay alongside Ian Bryce and Donald De Line.
