A new TV spot for “Prometheus,” director Ridley Scott’s upcoming epic return to the world he created with his science fiction masterpiece “Alien,” has become available rounding out a week of marketing releases for the film.

The new commercial features some footage that has not yet been seen so fans will certainly want to have a look and continue to theorize about the mystery that is “Prometheus.”

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With “Prometheus” he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

“Prometheus” opens in AMC 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on June 8^th.

Ridley Scott directs a cast that includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.
