Casting news on the upcoming sequel “Machete Kills” by Robert Rodriguez has been scarce but this possible new addition could turn this sequel is a pretty powerful player if it goes through.
Apparently Robert Rodriguez is close to signing Mel Gibson for a role in his “Machete” sequel, “Machete Kills.” that's going to start shooting before Rodriguez starts “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” this late summer.
No word on who Gibson would play. Here's the synopsis for the sequel:
The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
Sounds like Gibson would be playing a bad guy, which would be a great role for him. Hopefully they can get him to sign on the dotted line.
