Hollywood is not done, by any stretch, with it's triteness. Very few can come up with something that hasn't been done before and as long as there are new technologies about, like 3D/4D/etc, they will just exploit the superficiality of the current generations. Just sayin' ;)
I found it slightly less disappointing than Iron Man 3. The whole remake of Khan, the giant plot holes, it was mediocre. They should have come up with something new instead of copying Wrath of Khan.
