Director Tony Scott jumped to his death this Sunday from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Long Beach, California.
Scott, brother to Ridley, has had a long influential career in cinema and is the director behind beloved films such as "Top Gun," "Beverly Hills Cop 2," "True Romance," "Man on Fire" and more.
A suicide note was found on the scene.
A spokesman for the Scott family said the following: "I can confirm that Mr. Scott has indeed passed away. The family asks that their privacy be respected at this time."
