Earlier today we brought you the news that Fox appears to have halted pre-production on the planned "Daredevil" reboot. It now looks as though Focus Features has cancelled David Cronenberg's "Eastern Promises 2," starring Viggo Mortensen.
The director has been doing the press rounds for his upcoming meditation on the nature of man and the economy, "Cosmopolis," and in an interview with The Playlist revealed that the project is no longer in the production pipeline, saying:
“We were supposed to start shooting 'Eastern Promises 2' in October. [But] It's done. ... If you don't like it talk to James Schamus at Focus. It was his decision."
