"Lincoln" focuses on the last four months of the president's life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. “Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,” director Steven Spielberg says.

Gily violence been apart of this nation way back since the cold wars. Specially when it come to its movies and even tv shows. Probably before you was born, I agree with Andrew if you don't like the violence then don't have your kids watch it. It is a very simple action to do but people always want to complain. So I say this to all others that have the same issue with violent movies or tv show, get it through your head if you don't like it don't watch it and stop the complaining!
