As those who have watched or listened to this week’s AMC For Your Consideration Podcast know, I am a huge fan of the upcoming stop-motion animation zombie comedy from Focus Features: “ParaNorman”.
We had the opportunity to sit down with co-directors Chris Butler and Sam Fell as well as two of the stars of the voice cast, Kodi Smit-McPhee (ParaNorman himself) and the hilarious and lovely Leslie Mann (who voices Norman’s mom Sandra in the film), to talk about the unique blend of humor, heart and fun-filled horror that is “ParaNorman”.
Take a look at the video interviews below.

Synopsis:
The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated "Coraline." "ParaNorman" is, following "Coraline," the company's second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In "ParaNorman," a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
Sam Fell and Chris Butler direct a cast that includes Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Alex Borstein, Jodelle Ferland, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Elaine Stritch from a script by Chris Butler.
