Deadline is now reporting that Ivan Reitman is indeed returning to direct "Ghostbusters 3" and the film will go into production in the summer of 2013 with a target release date of sometime in 2014 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the original film.

No, there's still no Bill Murray, who took a pass on the new film. Dan Aykroyd reaffirmed that the movie will focus on the old "Ghostbusters" guard handing the reigns over to the next generation, but will still feature most of the original cast aside from Murray.
