Bryan Singer took to Twitter just moments ago to announce that Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart would be joining the sequel to "X-Men: First Class". He also announced that "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be bringing back its key players including James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Raven), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast).
Singer's Tweet:
"Thrilled to announce @ianmckellen118 & @SirPatStew are joining the cast of #XMEN #DaysOfFuturePast #magneto #professorX More to come..."
The comic book storyline of "Days of Future Past" tells the tale of a dystopian alternative future in which mutants are incarcerated in internment camps. An older Kitty Pryde transfers her mind into the younger, present-day Kitty Pryde, who brings the X-Men to prevent a fatal moment in history which triggers anti-mutant hysteria.
It will be fun to see how the Professor X and Magneto from our own past romance with Singer's original "X-Men" films, will fit into Singer's vision of the second prequel. These updates lead us to ask the question, will there be other cameos from actors in past "X-Men" fllms?
