Steven Spielberg’s animated film "The Adventures of Tintin" was critically acclaimed and won the Golden Globe last year for the best animated film. A sequel to the film is already in motion and this time, Peter Jackson will take a break from hobbits and dwarves, to direct "The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun".
Jackson revealed at a press conference for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" that he hopes to shoot the sequel in 2013 for a 2015 release. With his second and third hobbit films releasing in 2013 and 2014, and with the immense amount of post-production and reshoots that typically go into his films, a 2015 release date may appear overly-ambitious. Jackson seems confident that he can accomplish this however, and we applaud his commitment.
Penned by Anthony Horowitz, Peter Jackson’s "The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun" will hit AMC Theatres in 2015.
