MGM Plans BEN-HUR Remake

February 5, 2013

In the spirit of remakes, one of the most epic films of all-time is being re-imagined. Courtesy of MGM, "Ben-Hur" will once again hit the big-screen for this new generation. The film is credited as shaping the face of the film industry and inspiring many filmmakers, such as George Lucas.

Many people may not realize that the 1959 "Ben-Hur" starring Charlton Heston, was actually the second film version of the story. The original was a 1925 silent film called "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ", the same name of the original novel.

This new film will not be a direct remake, but rather a closer adaptation of the book, as MGM sold the rights to "Ben-Hur" in the 1980's.

The script has been written by Keith Clark, who is also acting as executive producer, alongside Jason Brown. John Levin and Sean Daniel are also on as producers, and no actors or director are currently locked in. We'll keep you posted as the story develops.

Man of Steel, Plot of Plastic. Lois knows, as all heroes must be fanned in narcissistic Twitty/Facilebook culture (ala "Amazing Spider Man"). Everyone knows Lois knows, so people will watch everyone around her like a hawk, and S's CK reporter ID will be blown in 5 sec.  (  ;) for the cam CK.) (Very original) plot has S stopping (Nero's red matter drill) World Engine, by (flying up light shaft into wormhole) flying up light shaft into World Engine while (red matter ship)/(SHIELD nuke) crib ship bomb crashed into baddies amid destroyed (Manhattan) Metropolis, tossing (Romulans) Kryptos back into (wormhole) black hole. Then S proceeds to break Bat's 1 rule. Shiny/pretty Supersuit, & Kryptotech cool, but best looking thing by end of movie was "Superman Returns". Some fans will shout: "Let Nolan/Snyder/Goyer try again!", and I will whisper "No." TO:  Nolan/Snyder/Goyer RE:  Superman WASN'T BROKEN.   STOP FIXING.
