We learned earlier this week that the tripod of Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day would be teaming up again for "Horrible Bosses 2", with director Seth Gordon back at the helm. Now it's been reported that Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Seth Gordon are going to embark on another project together, titled "One Night on the Hudson".
Besides the success of "Horrible Bosses", Gordon's "Identity Theft", starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, was also very successful. While the new Sudeikis/Day film sounds like it will be more of a dramatic thriller laced with comedy, Universal clearly has the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.
According to THR, the story follows a by-the-books rookie cop on his first night on the job, along with his jaded veteran partner. The pair are responsible for transporting a federal witness from New Jersey to Manhattan, and end up having to deal with corrupt cops, nasty criminals and crossing the Hudson River along the way.
