Marvel has certainly cemented itself into the minds of fans everywhere. While superhero movies have been around for decades, only since 2008 have they perpetually come out with such frequency, thanks in large part to the Marvel Cinematic Universe introducing new fans around the world to heroes, old and new alike. Through four phases, Marvel has constantly entertained us – and now, Phase 5 is going to bring even more mayhem to the MCU.
With three Marvel movies coming out in 2023, there is plenty for fans of the universe to look forward to in terms of moments, from Kang finally showing up in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA to Adam Warlock’s first appearance in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3. Here are some of the big moments that we’re looking forward to in the 2023 Marvel movies.
Kang Arriving In Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA is the official start of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a phase that is sure to be packed with plenty of action, new characters, and so much more. But the big draw for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA is that Kang is finally going to show up.
After being teased in one of the Marvel Disney+ shows, “Loki,” in 2021, it’s now time for Kang (played by Jonathan Majors) to make his big-screen debut, and just from the trailers alone, fans are already excited to see just how much power the new character has. Welcome to the Kang Dynasty.

Getting To Know Cassie Lang
For fans of Ant-Man, one might remember that, for the first two ANT-MAN movies, Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie, was a child, but after the years following the snap, viewers saw that she’d grown up and is now a young woman. Now, in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, Cassie Lang (played by Kathryn Newton) isn’t just older – she’s working right there alongside her dad.
It’ll be great to see her right there as part of the Ant-Man team and to watch her play an integral part in the story. And not only that, but her having a major role in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA could give her some helpful experience to eventually be a part of another superhero team in the future – Young Avengers, anyone?

MODOK's Big Screen Debut
MODOK, which stands for “Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing,” is another villain from Marvel Comics that is appearing for the first time in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, and we are very excited for what he’ll bring to the table.
How MODOK is going to be featured in the film is still unknown, but in the latest trailer, he’s seen a couple of times, so we’ll have to wait and see what he gets up to when the movie arrives.

Saving The Galaxy One Last Time
THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was a runaway hit in 2014 when it first arrived, and the film franchise has only continued to grow in popularity over the years as the famous space team has appeared multiple times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL 3. is expected to be the last time fans get to see the team all together.
While the team has helped to pave the way for superhero teams, it’ll be sad to watch this popular group go, but at least fans get to see them all together for one last time.

Learning More About Rocket Raccoon's Past
Teased in the trailer for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL 3., fans got a peek at a baby Rocket Raccoon, which indicates that in the third movie, viewers will get a look at Rocket’s past.
The famous talking raccoon has never really divulged a lot about their past to the team, but as this is going to be the last movie, it’s not that surprising that fans will get to learn a little bit more about Rocket. Hopefully that doesn’t mean Rocket is in trouble.
