Baywatch

Dwayne Johnson was back on the stage, this time introducing his cast members, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Zac Efron, Jon Bass and Priyanka Chopra. They shared a new version of the trailer (sorry, we can’t show you this one yet, but it’ll be out soon), which they described as not quite a red band, not quite a green band, but rather a Fuchsia Band: Friggin’ Unbelievable Preview Rating (but they used another F word…use your imagination). Tickets for Baywatch go on sale April 14. But don’t worry, we’ll be in your feed to remind you day of.

When asked about what it means to “Be Baywatch,” Zac Efron said, “Being Baywatch is an attitude. It’s being the best.” Alexandra Daddario chimed in with, “Being Baywatch is about challenging each other to be the absolute best all of the time.” Who knew this self-described crazy, sexy R-rated comedy would also be so inspiring? We’re ready for some funny inspiration, are you? Keep an eye out for the fuchsia band trailer. It’ll pop up in your timeline soon. Baywatch opens on May 26.

Girls Trip

Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish co-star in the “wet and wild ride” comedy Girls Trip. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the movie is about a girls trip to the annual Essence Festival in New Orleans. The film was actually filmed during the festival and Queen Latifah said that things got “very real” during filming. If you’ve ever been, then you know exactly what she’s talking about ( AmIRite?). In the movie, the ladies have an opportunity to cut loose and reconnect. While also giving audiences some serious laugh out loud moments. Girls Trip marks the 20-year reunion of Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah who co-starred in the 1996 favorite, Set it Off. Girls Trip opens on July 21.

Snatched

After taking a 14-year break from movies, Snatched marks Goldie Hawn hilarious return to comedies. Written by Amy Schumer, Snatched is the about a mother-daughter duo who travel to paradise after the daughter gets dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their exotic vacation. Goldie Hawn called it a “really funny, touching big fun film.” Amy remarked that she, “knew that there was no one else to make this than Goldie. She is such an inspiration to me.” After giving the audience the feels with those sweet words she went on to say that Snatched just might “trigger mom issues,” and that “it’s HOT!” Here’s the latest trailer for Snatched. It opens on May 12 (Mother’s Day weekend).
