1. Transformers: The Last Knight

The fifth feature in the Transformers franchise, Transformers: The Last Knight, took the top box office spot this weekend with $44.7M. Compared to opening weekend of the fourth installment, Transformers: Age of Extinction, this is considerably down domestically, but 2% ahead including international box office. The Last Knight set a franchise record in China with the largest opening for a Transformers film in that market.

2. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is unstoppable at the box office and is within reach of being the highest grossing release within the DC Extended Universe! Grossing another $24.9 domestically in her fourth weekend brings the total gross to over $318 million. To give some context to Wonder Woman's box office pace, $318 million in 24 days outperforms The Secret Life of Pets, Deadpool, and The Jungle Book. When this film passes $665 million worldwide gross (and it will), Patty Jenkins will hold the title for the biggest film ever from a solo female filmmaker.

3. Cars 3

Second and third place were a photo finish at the box office this weekend, with Cars 3 bringing in $24.1 million in its second weekend. Audiences continue to praise the third installment in the franchise with a 76% like it score on Rotten Tomatoes and an "A" CinemaScore. Unfortunately, Cars 3 will see big pressure this weekend from Despicable Me 3 opening June 30th. Both films are great for families- you can't go wrong!
