AMC Theatres On Demand doesn’t require a paid subscription. You’ll pay as you rent and purchase across our selection of movies.

We’re glad you asked! With On Demand, you can rent or buy the latest movies anywhere, anytime, on your favorite device. You’ll also earn AMC Stubs points on every purchase, which can be used towards in-theatre rewards.

You can watch AMC Theatres On Demand on amctheatres.com, the AMC Theatres mobile app on iOS and Android devices, and on the AMC Theatres On Demand app on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, LG, Samsung Smart TVs, and Roku devices.

AMC Theatres On Demand is provided by AMC Theatres and has no connection to the AMC Television Network.

At this time, AMC Theatres On Demand is not integrated with Movies Anywhere.

Go to the homepage of your Roku device and in the search bar, search for “AMC Theatres On Demand” and select “Add Channel.” When opening the downloaded app on your Roku device, follow the on-screen prompts to finish the registration process.

Select the “Home” button on your LG remote and scroll to the LG Content Store. Select “Apps & Games” and search for the “AMC Theatres On Demand” app. Select “Install” and click OK.  When opening the downloaded app on your LG TV, follow the on-screen prompts to finish the registration process.

You can either watch On Demand movies on the AMC Theatres app on iOS and Android devices. Or by going to the mobile version of amctheatres.com.

Press the “Smart Hub” button on your Samsung remote. Select “Add apps” to search for the AMC Theatres On Demand app. Select “Download” to install. When opening the downloaded app on your Samsung TV, follow the on-screen prompts to finish the registration process.

On the app store, search for “AMC Theatres On Demand”. When opening the downloaded app on your Apple TV, follow the on-screen prompts to finish the registration process.

Go to the homepage of your Amazon Fire TV device and in the search bar, search for “AMC Theatres On Demand” and select “Add Channel.” When opening the downloaded app on your Amazon Fire TV device, follow the on-screen prompts to finish the registration process.

AMC Theatres On Demand is on desktop and mobile web at www.amctheatres.com/on-demand, the AMC mobile app, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, LG, Samsung Smart TVs, and Roku devices.

You may link up to 5 compatible devices to use AMC Theatres On Demand. Your device may only be registered to a single AMC Stubs account at a given time.

Yes you do! All AMC Stubs members (Insider, Premiere and A-List) earn 20 points for every $1 spent on On Demand movies.

At this time, AMC Stubs points cannot be redeemed towards On Demand movies.

A-List reservations can only be used for in-theatre movies.

If your AMC Stubs A-List or Premiere membership expires, you’ll be automatically be converted to the free AMC Stubs Insider tier. All your rewards and On Demand movies will be transferred over.

All your purchased movies and active rentals will be in your On Demand Library, which can be accessed under AMC.

You have 30 days to start watching your rental. Once you press play, you’ll have access to watch it for 48 hours.

As many times as you’d like during the timeframe of your rental.

On the movie page, you’ll see how much time you have remaining on your rental.

You can pre-order movies that are not yet available to watch On Demand. You will be charged at the time of the pre-order and will be sent an email when your movie is available to watch.

You’ll get an alert when your pre-ordered movie is available to watch.

It varies by title, but some movies are only available to rent for a limited time. Also, in most cases, movies will be available to buy a few weeks before they’re available to rent.

Rentals typically cost anywhere from $1-$20 and purchases range from $5-$25, but pricing varies by movie.

The AMC Theatres On Demand Apple TV app does not support in-app purchases. You can rent or purchase On Demand movies on amctheatres.com and play them on Apple TV devices.

The AMC Theatres On Demand Amazon Fire TV app does not support in-app purchases. You can rent or purchase On Demand movies on amctheatres.com and play them on Amazon Fire TV devices.

You’ll get an alert when your pre-ordered movie is available to watch.

• 4K offers even more detailed and clearer pictures than HD and looks the sharpest on 4K-enabled televisions
• HD has more pixels than SD for better detail and higher resolution, especially on larger screens
• SD has lower resolution than HD or 4K, takes up less space on your device and uses less bandwidth

At this time, downloads are only supported on computers. Check back later because we’re working on an update to include mobile devices!

Go to your On Demand Library and select the movie you want to download. Then click on the download icon to download the movie to your device.

If you have an active rental, you can download to your device. You will have 30 days to start playing the rental and then 48 hours to watch once you’ve started.

Earning AMC Stubs points is simple – on every rented and purchased On Demand movie, all members will earn 20 points for every $1 spent. You can easily turn your points into in-theatre rewards, in increments of 5,000, at any time online or in the AMC mobile app by clicking the “Activate Reward” button on your AMC Stubs dashboard.  You can also let your cashier know that you have points you would like to redeem, and they can take care of it for you!  Once activated, rewards are automatically applied on your next transaction.

A-List reservations can only be used towards in-theatre movies.

We’ll occasionally send out promo codes to use towards On Demand movies. Be sure to have your communication settings turned on in order to receive these and other special On Demand offers and promotions!

If you’re experiencing frequent buffering with your On Demand movie, check your internet connection and make sure your device is connected properly. If you continue to experience problems, please contact us here.

Your movie will be played in the highest quality that can be delivered to your device over your internet connection. Depending on your wireless connection, the device may play your movie in SD, even if you purchased the 4K or HD version. If you’re experiencing bad video quality, check your internet connection and/or if your device is capable of streaming HD video.

We recommend an internet speed of at least 3Mbps when streaming On Demand movies.

Houston, we have a problem!  Generally, many errors can be resolved by clearing your internet cache, restarting your computer/device, or attempting your purchase/activity using a different device/browser (Google Chrome is the recommended website browser for amctheatres.com).  If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, let us know here and we will be happy to assist you!
