Janicza Bravo’s ‘Lemon’ Announces All-Star Cast

Jenicza Bravo’s debut feature film “Lemon” will have a star-studded cast, Burn Later Productions and Killer Films announced today.

Brett Gelman will play the lead role of Isaac Laachman alongside Judy Greer who will play his blind girlfriend. Michael Cera, Nia Long, Fred Melamed, and Shiri Appleby, Rhea Perlman, David Paymer, Megan Mullaly, Martin Starr, Jeff Garlin and Marla Gibbs will also be a part of the cast.

“Lemon” follows the story of Laachman, an out of work actor who attempts to stop his life from unraveling after he is dumped by his girlfriend.

Bravo’s films have previously been screened at Sundance, SXSW and Tribeca Film Festival amongst many others.

Mill Valley Film Festival Announces Lineup

The Mill Valley Film festival announced its first round of films for it’s 39th annual event.

According to IndieWire, the film will be screening “Manchester by the Sea,” which premiered at Sundance, and Cannes’ “I, Daniel Blake.”

MVFF will also be featuring “Toni Erdmann,” ““Maya Angelou and Still I Rise” and “Loving.”

The festival will run from Oct. 6 to Oct. 16.
