The "Oldboy" remake has been moving forward and though everything may appear to be coming together rather well, it actually hasn't been that easy. Director Spike Lee and company have been on the hunt for their female lead that would share the big screen with lead actor Josh Brolin. They've tried their best to get actresses Mia Wasikowska and Rooney Mara to possibly take on the role, but both have passed.
Now the offer is out to Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene") who has some time in her schedule to move forward with the "Oldboy" remake if she so chooses. She garnered a considerable amount of awards attention for her breakout role in the Sundance film "Martha Marcy May Marlene" and will next be seen in the upcoming horror movie "Silent House," set to be released in AMC Theatres on March 9th.
