Although the "Twilight" movie series is coming to an end this November doesn't mean that those fans won't have another Stephanie Meyer novel based film taking its place. Pre-production is currently underway for the Meyer-written book "The Host." The latest person to sign up for the sci-fi picture is Frances Fisher. She's joining a cast that includes Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, William Hurt and Jake Abel.
"The Host" centers on a soul, called the Wanderer, who is fused with a captured human named Melanie Stryder (Ronan), in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth. Fisher will be playing Maggie, Melanie's strict aunt.
Andrew Niccol ("In Time") is directing off the script written by Meyer herself. Principal photography for "The Host" is set to begin at the end of this month in New Mexico and in parts of Louisiana.
