'Ghostbusters 3' May Not Happen After All

By AMC February 29, 2012

Any "Ghostbusters" fan can tell you how many times they've heard that Bill Murray and company would get back together to finally film the long-awaited "Ghostbusters 3." The rumors have tried the fan's patience and now it appears that this movie is dead before it can even lift off the ground. Actor Dan Akroyd spoke up about the possibility of making a third movie of the highly popular eighties films and said the following, "At this point it's in suspended animation. The studio, the director Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis feel there must be a way to do it, but Bill Murray will not do the movie. He doesn't want to be involved." There has been plenty of talk that Bill Murray was looking into possibly taking on the role of Dr. Peter Venkmen once again, but it can't be "Ghostbusters" without him as part of the team. So for now "Ghostbusters 3" is a figment of our imagination unless Murray says otherwise. Do you think they should even try to make a "Ghostbusters 3"? Why or why not?
