'The Man Who Killed Don Quixote' Still Looking To Be Made

By AMC February 29, 2012

The over 10 year-old project known as “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” is still being talked about and after so many long delays, it looks like the third time could be the charm for the upcoming Terry Gilliam movie.

At first Johnny Depp was going to star but the weather and injuries caused the production to be delayed. The script was re-written some nine years later with Robert Duvall and Ewan McGregor set to star, but financing dried up. Now writer Toni Grisoni gives us this update on the movie:

"Us survivors of 'Don Q' are a strange kind of dysfunctional family. Every year since we have rewritten the screenplay. And we've got quite good at it. You will be pleased to hear the Don is back up and in the saddle and ready to ride under new colours."

Is the movie finally going to happen? We'll have to continue waiting to see.
