“Midnight Run” is one of the best action-comedies ever put on film and sequel rumors to the Robert DeNiro, Charles Grodin flick have been talked about for a little while now in Hollywood. Even Grodin himself said he'd entertain the idea of coming out of retirement to do it.

Now it looks as if a sequel actually is happening. Universal Pictures hired writers David Elliot and Paul Lovett to pen a sequel with Brett Ratner in negotiations to direct.

DeNiro is already attached to return as bounty hunter Jack Walsh but no word on if Grodin will come back for the sequel.

What do you think? Do you want a sequel to Midnight Run and are you cool with Brett Ratner directing it? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Matthew Kirk posted on First GODZILLA Trailer Released Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Cranston

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
