Disney Songwriter Robert Sherman Passes Away

The songs are ones you know, but you may have never known who wrote them. Famous Disney songwriters Robert and Richard Sherman, wrote some of the most memorable songs in movie and cartoon history and unfortunately, Robert Sherman (pictured left in the picture above) has passed away.

The brothers were responsible for classic songs from “Mary Poppins,” “The Jungle Book,” Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “It's a Small World,” “Winnie the Pooh,” “Charlotte's Web,” and more. The brothers have written over 150 songs for Disney.

Robert Sherman died Monday in London at the age of 86. He will be missed and his contributions and songs will be remembered and sang for generations to come.
