D.J. Caruso To Direct 'Invertigo'

By AMC March 29, 2012

All has been quiet on the D.J. Caruso directing front, that is until today when Sony Pictures announced that they would have him hold the reigns on their new project "Invertigo." And no, this is not based off of the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Vertigo."

The drama was written for the screen by Bradley Cramp and Ehren Kruger, centering on a NASA satellite that crash-lands in New York City, and it creates a "reverse-G vortex" where gravity is inverted. It imperils the planet if a rescue mission fails.

The last time we saw one of D.J. Caruso's films was the modestly successful 2011 movie "I Am Number Four." He's been rumored to be attached to the live-action "Preacher" movie, but since that isn't lifting off the ground anytime soon Caruso is making good use of his time with this film.
