Max Landis Locked In To Write 'Chronicle 2'

By AMC March 9, 2012

The talks about "Chronicle" getting a sequel have been buzzing around even before the movie was theatrically released. Now that Twentieth Century Fox wants to move forward with the second installment, they've recruited "Chronicle" screenwriter Max Landis to pen the next story.

"Chronicle" was directed by Josh Trank and has a cast of newcomers that include Alex Russell, Dane DeHaan and Michael B. Jordan. The story centers on three high school friends who gain superpowers but find their lives going out of control and friendships tested as they explore the dark side.

This isn't the only project that Landis has his hands on. He's been on fire, having one pitch after another get scooped up by studios from Disney to Universal Pictures.
