Universal Pictures has released a new trailer and extended preview for their upcoming dark retelling of the classic Grimm fairytale “Snow White” now titled “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

The film stars Kristen Stewart as the exiled princess turned armed assassin, Snow, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman who first hunts, then trains her and Charlize Theron as the vengeful, evil Queen. Commercial director Rupert Sanders takes the helm on this visually lush offering. By all indications the director seems to have captured the tone of the original tale while bringing something of the contemporary mindset to his interpretation.

This is one we very much look forward to seeing in theatres this summer.

Take a look at the trailer and extended preview below.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
