You can get ahead of the curve and preorder your tickets for "The Hunger Games" HERE.

The two male actors at the center of the film Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are already busy doing mall tours, signings and appearances.

Hutcherson plays Peeta in the film, the young male from district 12 who is forced to go to the Capital to face off against Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen in the brutal fight to the death that is The Hunger Games. Hemsworth is Gale, Katniss’ best friend and confident who must helplessly sit back and watch as she is sent into the perilous fight.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Hutcherson and Hemsworth recently to talk about the distinction between “Twilight” and “The Hunger Games,” why Hutcherson fought for this role, and what both established and new fans can expect to receive from this epic adventure.

Take a look at the video interview and synopsis for the film below.

Synopsis:

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) is living with her mother and little sister in the poor mining community of district 12. Despite mastering the skill of hunting and trapping edible plants, Katniss still struggles to keep her family from going hungry.

When her little sister's name is selected, Katniss steps up to take her place in the deadly competition. She joins Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), a boy from her area who played a crucial role in a significant moment from her past.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of a drunken former victor, Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), a flighty Capital representative, Effie (Elizabeth Banks) and Cinna, a profoundly wise stylist (Lenny Kravitz). If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
