Back in 2000, Nicolas Cage's copy of Superman's first appearance in the ultra-rare Action Comics #1 was stolen and made headlines worldwide about the theft of Cage's most valuable book. Now it looks as if Lionsgate wants to make a movie about the heist called “Action No.1”
Reno 911 creators Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon would produce and pen the script. It's doubtful Cage would actually play himself, though I'm not sure what actor could really play him.
In case you're wondering if Cage ever recovered the comic, it was found in an abandoned storage locker in 2011 and sold at auction for $2.1 million.
