New HULK Movie Could Smash AMC Theatres In 2015

With the international box office numbers skyrocketing for “The Avengers” and talk of a box office breaking weekend, it's good to hear that another new Marvel movie could be coming our way.

Critics who have already seen The Avengers are praising The Hulk, one of the film's many highlights and with what will apparently be huge box office numbers for Marvel, talk of a Hulk movie for 2015 could be in the works.

Feige said this about The Hulk getting another shot in the movies:

“Well, no. This was the other shot. Right? I mean, this was the third appearance of Hulk and everything that we had and were going for, we put in to Hulk’s appearance in “Avengers.” So, I love that people are saying that and are feeling that way about Hulk, but mission accomplished at this point. And the way we go forward, we’ll see. But it was a long road to get to this point. … But we’ll be very careful about it and deliberate — as we were in how we wanted to bring him back in “Avengers.””

But then Marvel's Paul Glitter, President of Consumer Products said this:

“His sales are up in a major way. We repositioned him from where he was always misunderstood to now depicting him in a more heroic and aspirational manner.”

He then went on to say that the company would be spinning him off in a stand-alone program with his own movie in 2015. Whether it was a misunderstanding or a slip of the tongue, we'll have to wait and see.

This reply if for CMO175: Wow... I had to comment on your posting. The fact that you believe Batman vs. Superman would beat Captain America 3 strikes me as uninformed. Zack Snyder is a visual master... but his stories and pacing and color palate are truly lacking in the development process. Superman simply had no soul... the man and the movie. And the silly destruction of the city and the landscape IS out of character with what Superman is. How many people died as Superman himself crashed through buildings and caused explosions throughout the movie? Superman would NEVER allow that to happen, but Zack Snyder and his writer would... and did. And it was a boring, stupid mess. And he WILL bring that soulless idiocy to Batman vs. Superman. Captain America, on the other hand? Winter Soldier is the most exciting super hero movie since The Dark Knight. And I, a 55 year old long time comic book universe fan, WILL be in line for Captain America 3! I will have to be convinced -- a LOT -- to turn around and spend my money, and time, in a Zack Snyder Batman vs. Superman. Zack Snyder stole a bit of my soul -- and I hate him for it -- when he introduced zombies that can run down a car. If zombies existed, in a Zack Snyder universe, and they move FASTER than any human... then he has introduced a horror universe in which man has NO hope of survival! Mankind cannot survive in this universe where vicious zombies have the speed to overwhelm any human survival situation... and that vision kills the suspense in a zombie movie. Where is the hope? That does not exist in a Zack Snyder movie. That man is Sucker Punching all of us. I'm not taking it any more. There are too many other fan friendly directors of fantasy movies for me to follow. I only hope that Disney/Marvel will hire the same brother director team to direct Captain America 3. That will be a smart move, indeed. RLJ
