TRANSFORMERS 4 Writer Says Shia LaBeouf Not In The Sequel

By AMC April 26, 2012

We've heard for some time now that Shia Labeouf wouldn't be returning for the 4th installment in the Transformers franchise, and the writer of the upcoming sequel has confirmed that rumor.

Ehren Kruger, who worked on “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” said that Shia is definitely out of the sequel. Paramount president Adam Goodman had this to say about the 4th film being directed by Michael Bay:

“The story is going in a different direction now. Ehren Kruger [who wrote the past two Transformers movies] is writing it for us, and we’re starting to engage, but I can’t say anything more.”

Bay will start work on Transformers 4 after shooting “Pain and Gain” which is in production now in Miami.
