Charlize Theron On Her PROMETHEUS Character Meredith Vickers

By AMC May 21, 2012

“Good morning, my name is Meredith Vickers and it’s my job to make sure that you do yours.”

Charlize Theron reveals a bit about her character, Meredith Vickers, in a new featurette for director Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated return to science-fiction “Prometheus.”

Vickers works for the questionably motivated Weyland Corporation in the film and doesn’t shy from a “company woman,” take-no-prisoners demeanor. It will be fascinating to see how said attitude unfolds and shifts as the film progresses.

Take a look at the new featurette and synopsis for “Prometheus” via Coming Soon below:

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Scott directs a cast that includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Theron.

“Prometheus” opens in AMC 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on June 8th.
