John Woo Will Take On DAY OF THE BEAST

John Woo, the director responsible for beloved action favorites such as “Face Off” and “Mission: Impossible II” is set to helm the English-language remake of the 1963 Japanese mafia movie from director Seijun Suzuki's, "Youth of the Beast"

“Set in Tokyo, the story follows a Western outsider with a grim past as he becomes embroiled in a global turf war between Yakuza and old-school Cold War Russian mobsters.”

Woo will direct from a script by Rob Frisbee.
