Rachel McAdams is set to join Philip Seymour Hoffman in director Anton Corbijn's adaptation of John Le Carre's novel “A Most Wanted Man.”
Take a look at the plot synopsis via Empire Online below:
“Issa, a refugee lately escaped from a Turkish prison and on the run from the Swedish authorities, who claims to be Chechen, but, rather mysteriously, doesn't speak the language. Arriving in Hamburg, he reveals he has the means to access a very private bank account containing a legacy of dubious origin. It's not long before British, German and American intelligence agencies are paying close attention.”
The leading role of Issa has yet to be cast. Hoffman is on board to portray Gunther Bachmann one of the German agents investigating the escape. While McAdams is being described mysteriously as: "a woman who becomes involved in the international intrigue."
It is possible that she will portray Annabel Richter, a woman employed by Issa’s lawyer, but that has not been confirmed.
We will keep you updated as details on the project emerge.
Look for “A Most Wanted Man” in AMC Theatres in 2013.
