After the success of "The Avengers" audiences are anxiously awaiting the upcoming instillations in the Marvel movies universe: “Captain America 2,” “Thor 2,” and “Iron Man 3” among others.
Robert Downey Jr. and the “Iron Man 3” filmmakers have been spotted on location in Wlimington, North Carolina and Coming Soon has collected some details from the set, the most interesting of which is a report that seems to confirm that Mandarin is indeed the villain in the film:
“We had one source involved with the production tell us that Mandarin was definitely the villain,” the site says. “He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts.”
The remainder of the extras were said to be dressed as military men and secret service agents.
The production, according to the story, is now moving to Miami, Florida. We will keep you updated as further details emerge.
Shane Black directs a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau.
“Iron Man 3” opens in AMC Theatres on May 3, 2013.
