Warner Bros. has released a teaser poster for their upcoming adaptation of the beloved Michael Bond children’s book series “Paddington Bear”.
Paul King is set to direct from a script by Hamish McColl with David Heyman (“Harry Potter”) producing.
The film will utilize the series as a whole as its inspiration rather than following the trajectory of a particular tale.
Though in a recent interview with Empire Online the director did say that he would be sticking fairly closely to the tone and feel of the source material.
"There will be a mishap in the bath,” Kind assured Paddington fans. “There will be hard stares, and he will be dressed correctly in a Peruvian bush hat and blue duffle coat.”
Take a look at the teaser poster and synopsis for the film below.
A live-action movie based on Michael Bond's series of books for young children about a talking bear who's adopted by a London family when they find him lost at Paddington Station.
Paddington has journeyed from Darkest Peru, wearing a duffle coat, hat and Wellington boots, carrying a suitcase containing an empty jar of marmalade and wearing a label around his neck that reads "Please look after this bear, thank you."
His arrival in the household of the Brown family leads to comic mishaps and misadventures for the well-meaning but accident-prone young bear.
