IMAX Corporation and Lionsgate have announced that the follow-up to the enormously popular YA phenomena, “The Hunger Games,” now titled “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be released in IMAX on November 22, 2013.

Director Francis Lawrence will be using IMAX cameras to capture some of the more vivid and crucial moments in the story that sees Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen, Liam Hemsworth’s Gale Hawthorne and Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta Mellark in an expanded depiction of the country of Panem before Katniss and Peeta must reenter the brutal death games.

Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures plans to release director J.J. Abrams highly anticipated “Star Trek 2” in IMAX 3D on May 17, 2013.

Abrams had the following to say in a press release:

"We were so thrilled with the creative results of shooting IMAX for 'Mission: Impossible' that we jumped at the chance to use the format for 'Star Trek.' All expectations were exceeded -- the action and resolution is insane at this scale. We cannot wait for audiences to see the crew of the Enterprise in a way they never have before."

Returning to their posts on the Enterprise are John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, and Anton Yelchin. They are joined by new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

We will keep you updated as further details on the projects emerge!

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
