TWILIGHT May Get A Reboot

It is being reported that Lionsgate (which recently merged with the "Twilight" franchise's Summit Entertainment) may be planning to reboot the series in over the next few years. Given the astronomical success of the cinematic renditions of "The Twilight Saga" (a $2 billion worldwide gross with a fifth instillation coming to AMC screens on November 16th) explorations into the possibility of a spin-off or remake are not surprising.

The horror site Bloody Disgusting contends that:

"They’re already discussing it internally. It will happen. It is still undecided exactly what the future of the franchise will be, though. It could be a direct remake... but then again it could also be a spinoff or maybe even a one-off sequel."

Lionsgate Co-Chairman Rob Friedman has denied the rumors saying: ”We are not remaking 'Twilight.' We will happily support Stephenie Meyer if she decides to proceed in any way. But this will be the last one unless that should change."

BD retorts:

"(The studio will) deny it, right here, right now. We'll get plenty of eggs in our face. Sites will burn us at the stake like a witch during the Salem trials. Still, the fact will remain: it's true."

What do you believe? Do you believe we will see more of Bella, Jacob, Edward and the Cullen clan in the coming years? Would you like to see the franchise continue?

Take a look at what AMC managing editor John Campea and myself have to say about the potential reboot in the video below:

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.

Magic and "The Social Network" shouldn't be in the same sentence. It was an awful movie for what has become "The Hateful Network". It's the beginning of the end for FB.
