By AMC June 20, 2012

A couple of weeks ago AMC had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland to speak with the filmmakers and some of the voice cast behind Disney-Pixar’s stunning new animated adventure “Brave.”

While there we were able to sit down with Kevin McKidd (television’s “Grey’s Anatomy”) who voices both Lord MacGuffin and his son Young MacGuffin (one of the competitors for Princess Merida’s hand in the film) to talk about his inspiration for each of the unique voices, how the film reflects the Scotland of his own youth, fate, destiny and what families can expect to take away from “Brave.”

Take a look at the video interview and synopsis for the film below:

Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.

Mark Andrews directs a voice cast that includes Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.

“Brave” opens in AMC Theatres on June 22nd.
