A couple of weeks ago AMC had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland to speak with the filmmakers and some of the voice cast behind Disney-Pixar’s stunning new animated adventure “Brave”.
While there we were able to sit down with Kelly Macdonald (televisions “Boardwalk Empire”), who voices Princess Merida herself in the film, to speak about the universally relatable push-pull of the parent/child dynamic, what she sees of herself in the animated depiction of her character and how the film comes to life on screen.
Take a look at the video interview and synopsis for the film below:
Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.
Mark Andrews directs a voice cast that includes Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.
“Brave” opens in AMC Theatres on June 22nd.
