A couple of weeks ago AMC had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland to speak with the filmmakers and some of the voice cast behind Disney-Pixar’s stunning new animated adventure “Brave.”

While there we were able to speak with producer Katherine Sarafian & Director Mark Andrews about bringing the Pixar twist to an epic fairytale adventure and balancing the dark and light elements of the tale.

Synopsis:

Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.

Mark Andrews directs a voice cast that includes Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.

“Brave” opens in AMC Theatres on June 22nd.

    Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
