Fans of the 1989 teen fantasy comedy "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" will be interested to hear the news that the oft discussed third installment in the series looks to be moving forward.
Director Dean Parisot ("GalaxyQuest," the upcoming "Red 2") has been tapped to helm the film which will reportedly see both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as the teenage burn-outs who become the most excellent of time-travelling adventurers, Ted Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq., respectively.
The film will check in on the pair 23 years after the last time we've seen them. We can only imagine what hijinks's have ensued.
The franchise originators, Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, are currently looking to finance the film on a lower budget.
Solomon and Matheson are in the midst of completing work on their Lionsgate horror-comedy "Rapturepalooza" starring "Anna Kendrick and John Francis Daley as two teens who face the apocalypse while trying to defeat the Antichrist."
We will keep you updated as details on "Bill and Ted 3" emerge.
