Billy Crystal teased some plot details about Pixar's “Monsters University” in a recent in interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The sequel to the popular “Monsters, Inc.” (which followed the story of little Boo and her buddies, Mike and Sully, the monsters who live in the closet) is a prequel which traces the pair’s training to become the world’s best scarers.
Take a look at what Crystal, who voices Sully, had to say below:
"[Mike and Sully] end up in the same fraternity where they have this scare competition — like Greek Games in college. They have to mobilize a group, sort of like Revenge of the Nerds-monsters, and get them ready to be scary. They're 17 and 18 years old in the script. My guy has a retainer, even."
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
“Monsters University” opens in AMC Theatres on June 21st, 2013.
