PACIFIC RIM To Be Converted Into 3D

By AMC September 13, 2012

Despite the fact that Guillermo del Toro didn't plan his upcoming science-fiction adventure film, “Pacific Rim”, to be in 3D, it has been announced that the film will be post converted into the third dimension in time for its July 2013 release date.

The film takes place in a world in which "legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, begin rising from the sea and begin a war that would takes millions of lives and consumes humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon is devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge."

Del Toro directs a cat that includes Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day.

Look for “Pacific Rim” in AMC Theatres on July 12, 2013.
