Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role and the brutal and beloved Cimmerian warrior Conan in the upcoming "The Legend of Conan".
Here is what producer Fredrik Malmberg had to say about the project:
“The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make. It’s that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle.”
Schwarzenegger's turns as the famous barbarian in 1982's "Conan the Barbarian" and in 1984's "Conan the Destroyer" helped to bring the champion weightlifter to the world's attention.
Producers Malmberg and Chris Morgan are looking to have Schwarzenegger return to crushing his enemies and hearing the lamentation of their women on the big screen sometime in 2014.
