Bryan Singer is officially set to direct "X-Men: Days of Future Past"!

Last week we reported that "X-Men: First Class" helmer Matthew Vaughn had decided not to return to direct the follow-up to his hit film, and that Bryan Singer, the director of 2000's "X-Men" and 2003's "X2" and producer of "First Class", may step in to helm "Days of Future Past".

Well it has been confirmed that he is indeed set return to the director's chair on the popular franchise. Vaughn will remain on board as a producer, so the pair have essentially switched roles.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is scheduled for release on July 18, 2014.

We will keep you updated as details emerge.

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
