The LA Times is reporting that Warner Bros. is aiming to release their superhero ensemble "Justice League" during the same summer as Marvel Studios' highly anticipated "The Avengers 2."
Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight" trilogy) has declined Warner Bros. offer to produce the film, though he is acting as a producer on the studio's upcoming "Superman" reboot "Man of Steel."
Though details are slim and there is no director officially attached, Will Beall's script is said to include Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.
The film will birth a new era that is unconnected to any previous depictions of these iconic characters. The studio plans to pursue the individual films for each of the supreheros (as conceived of in this version of the DC cinematic universe) following the release of "Justice League" in 2015.
